The Halsey Family

Paige, Josh's childhood friend, came over to meet Andrew Dooda today!  Andrew was a little angel & slept the whole time while Paige held him.  The three of us were able to enjoy some vino :)  

Andrew Broxton Halsey is now 4 weeks old/young & weighs 10 pounds 4 ounces!  We are loving every last second of every day... even with his new found "voice" AKA crying that has graced our home with its presence.  This just may have been the fastest 4 weeks of my life.   Dear Time, SLOW down.   Thanks, Jill Andrew's mom

Saturday, June 22nd we took Andrew to his first of many Padre games.  Papa, Mimi, Treysen, Josh, Andrew & I all made the game.  The Dodgers were in town, so Papa & Treysen were extra excited.  Josh, Andrew & I sat out in the park section & it was just perfect.  Andrew wore his Pads onesie that Randy gave him. Our goal was to make it through 4 innings, and we will have you know that we made it until the bottom of the 5th. Goal surpassed. Andrew was a perfect little boy... until he got a wet diaper- he HATES wet diapers, so we quickly got packed up and head to the car (we pit stopped to change the diaper)  The whole Padre crew :)  Our Sleeping Son!!    Mom & Dad's beer & hot dog!!  Go Padres!!  

Bonnie & Brenton came over to meet the babe yesterday... It was so great to catch up & have them meet our new little love.  We love introducing Andrew Dooda to our friends!!   Today, we met Bon & Brenton and walked Lake Miramar... this may have to be a new Sunday routine.  It is a gorgeous 5 mile loop.  This was first for all of us... how have we lived here so long and never done that walk?!?!  LOVE IT! 

Josh & I love going to the Farmer's Market on Saturday mornings in Little Italy.  We made our first family trip down on Saturday.... we got our usual crepe, ate it in our regular spot & shopped the local vendors.  Such a fun family day.  This trip was extra special because, A-it was Andrew's first time (although he slept through the entire trip) and B-Papa, Mimi & Treysen joined us for the trip. Josh & I did our first team public (and I mean public- we were on the sidewalk) diaper changing... Josh held Andrew, while I changed his diaper mid air. Super great team parenting. Did I mention this was a wet & dirty diaper- yeah, Andrew was NOT having it.

Andrew had his first play date with Max!  Andrew loved being held by Jen... Max was more interested in playing with our shutters than Andrew, but that's okay because Andrew slept the entire play date!  Can't wait to watch these cute boys grow up together.  Soon there will be a third in the mix, we can't wait to meet Miss Lauren.

Tuesday, June 18th marked our first night out without the baby.  We went up to meet friends for dinner and Mimi, Papa & Treysen were on duty.  Andrew had a little freak out, then spent the rest of the night (2 hours) on Papa's chest in his room,  Thank you guys for taking such great care of Dooda on our first night out!  

Treysen got to meet his third cousin this week.... Andrew gave him a big smile!  Now, we just need to work on Treysen changing diapers.  

These seriously melt my heart.... I can't believe we made this little guy.  WE ARE SOOO LUCKY!

We had a team effort photo shoot.... Sloan was such a good girl!  Andrew loves his Sloany girl!  I swear Andrew was both breathing and not miserable, contrary to the distressed look on his face.
