The big sister... you know, Sloan!

Image
Here are some super cute pictures of Sloan!!  She has been extra mellow over the past couple months... I think she is resting up for her new brother.  Sleeping on the couch, that she is "not" allowed to be on.  Resting on Josh's lap... so cute!  He really does love this girl!  Watching football... seriously, I swear she really watches. Play time!!!  1, 2, 3... we love you Sloan.  LOL!!!

Our Perfect Surprise Baby Shower

Image
On Saturday, December 29th we had quite a surprise... Uncle Steve & Auntie Nat, the Devanys (John/Nat & Joe/Heather & Mimi & Don), the Thrashers, and Mimi & Papa threw us a surprise baby shower at Campagnia in Fresno.  Josh & I had NO clue what was in store for us that cloudy Saturday.  We were told we were going to a bottomless mimosa brunch with Nat & Steve... I had a plan for the buffet & Josh had a plan for the mimosas. When we walked it, we were in complete shock. It literally brought tears to my eyes, I could not believe that so many people came to celebrate Andrew!  We are so lucky to have each of these people in our lives & Andrew is one lucky spoiled boy to have the best family ever!  The food was AHH-MAZING!  My sister had this sign made & we plan to hand it up in Andrew's room :)  It matches perfectly!  Favors for the guests who traveled from near & far.... These cookies were delicious. Jo...

Nursery Phase #2- furniture!

Image
Uncle Daniel's stuff has now been moved to the garage so project nursery can be fully underway. On Saturday, January 12th, Josh & I assembled Andrew's crib (compliments of Auntie Nat & Uncle Steve).   The crib was super easy to put together & looks perfect.  The dresser (compliments of Mimi & Papa) was delivered the same day- NO assembly required!  Gotta love that. Andrew's crib :)  The blanket is from his favorite cousins (only cousins), T-Money & Al Farm.  It is the cutest blanket EVERRRRRR!!!  Don't worry we ordered a mattress- organic of course and will arrive this week. I can't wait to put on the crib skirt & the chevron crib sheets- also organic ;)  Josh has officially decided that he hates all things organic.  LOL!! Poor guy- he will get used it, I hope! I have washed & hung all of the clothes that we got from our AMAZINGGGGGGG surprise baby shower (I promise to post about this shower as soon as we upload...

Nursery- Phase #1!!

Image
On January 5th & 6th, Josh embarked on painting Andrew's room.  Let's just say, I think he was a little nervous.  I have quite a specific vision for the nursery... AND... boy did Josh nail it!  With a little help from Uncle Daniel (after he woke up), the nursery is painted.  It seriously looks like professionals did it.  I love having the baby's room come along... 17 weeks & 2 days until we meet our little boy!!  Is it too soon to start the countdown?!?  Shit... too bad- it has begun :) Notice Uncle Daniel's pile of crap in the middle of the room... LOL!  Please take notice of Josh's painters hat that he purchased for the job.  Hilarious! Uncle Daniel is awake & helping.  The grey is coming along! The blue tape for the perfect stripes is being peeled off.... a stressful moment for all.  They look PERFECT!!!! See.... I told you, it looks like my husband is a professional painter.  Maybe it was the painter...

Half Way Mark-20 weeks

Image
Half way to meeting our little boy!!!  I am still feeling great... I am eager for Josh to starting feeling his son's first kicks & moves, hopefully soon. We had our 20 week appointment & Andrew's heartbeat was 154 beats per minutes & everything is going well.  I am in full crazy pregnant girl swing with wanting everything ready and perfect.... NOW.  Josh has been amazing & supportive of my need to get things in order asap.  He painted the baby's room this past Saturday & it looks amazing.  I will post pictures this afternoon.  Still love being pregnant & still love Panera breakfast.

The Cake will tell...

Image
We arrived in Fresno for Christmas 2012 on the Saturday before.  Our first Christmas event was to "cut the cake."  Allie wanted to find out if we were having a boy or girl via a cake or cupcakes.... Clearly she watches too much Cake Boss.  I love her ideas-she is all girl!  So, we ordered a cake & let her cut the cake.  As the blue showed through, Treysen was so cute & excited, shouting, "It's a boy, right?!?"  Allie was just looking for a plate to get her cake on so she could start eating.  I think Al Farm was a tad disappointed, she had her heart set that we were going to have a little girl.  I reassured her that Andrew Broxton would be lots of fun & we can dress him up just as much, maybe in just different ways :) Our second Christmas event was hitting the Destination Maternity to try and find me some clothes, since there was snafu with getting my hanging clothes to Fresno.  I will say maternity clothes shopping is less tha...
